Jordan wrote this book because when he was teaching 8th grade, he had a student whose younger brother had cancer and he looked for a book for her about a middle school student with a sibling who had cancer and he could not find any. He promptly wrote back a very nice, personal letter. A gauge of one’s intellectual abilities, reasoning enables people to understand ideas and concepts better, and arrive at logical conclusions. Whitefield makes it easy to follow the bigamous habits of not just Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, but all of the early church leaders. They look like stock photos of similar dishes. Ty waits for an opportune time to first make his approach, and looking back it all seems to fit well with his timing (to kidnap Gemma). And every page I thoroughly enjoyed, it was so well described that I felt like I was on a trip around the world with them.
